Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one go without the need to change devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is one of the easiest robots we’ve tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual can get you running in no time. You’ll have a a full dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you’d like to have for each room.
For instance, you can choose to have the robot clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro’s front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that it tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will show you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it’s going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the dirty water tank. It’s also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy’s own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand however we would like to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company’s flagship robot vacuum and mop. This year’s model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
As with the other two Roborock models I’ve tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But best robot cleaner takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they’re a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its course automatically and clean around the objects without stumbling.
It’s the most expensive model I’ve tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only downside I’ve found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn’t removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it’s required) however, it’s a hassle to remove the mount for manual washing. I’ve observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery’s lifespan. You’ll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It’s a shame, considering the performance otherwise.

This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. There’s an impressive amount of settings on offer that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots do not have – such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list however it’s not too heavy.
